May 2027 Advanced Placement (AP®) Exam payment information and policies for West Lafayette Jr/Sr High School are posted below. Please read through this information carefully.
Payment Submission Deadline: October 30, 2026*
EXAM REGISTRATION DEADLINES AND PROCEDURES
Step 1: Activate your Exam on MyAP – Students will activate their AP® Exams in the College Board MyAP system at http://myap.collegeboard.org by joining the AP Class using the Join Code. An active College Board profile log in will be needed. (This step will take place in early September in class).
Step 2: Submit exam fees – On or around September 30, students with an active exam on MyAP will receive via email from APTS their customized exam fee invoice. Exam fees are due paid in full by October 30, 2026*
1. Activate exam: To activate an AP® Exam order for the May 2027 exam administration, students will log into or create their College Board profiles via http://myap.collegeboard.org
To link their exam subject to their profiles, students will receive from each of their AP® teachers a Join Code (or access code). Join Codes are subject, teacher and class period specific. Students will JOIN their AP Classes at the start of the year with this join code.
The MyAP system will prompt students to complete a MyAP Profile – please make sure to enter your full legal name, the correct school of attendance, your student ID number, and an email address able to receive of important alerts from College Board and APTS. (It should be an email address frequently checked and which you can access beyond high school.)
Note: This step has likely already occurred in class in September! Deadline was September 4, 2026.
2. The cost per exam is $93.
3. Fee submission: Payment submission for AP® exams will be done through APTS. Students with exam orders on MyAP will receive via email on September 30, 2026 a custom digital invoice. Invoices will be emailed to the email address on the student’s College Board profile.
The fees due can be submitted either by online payment (credit or debit card), or via mailing in a check or money order. Instructions will be provided in the invoice/invoice portal. Payment is due by October 30, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT to avoid penalties.*
Use of a credit or debit card to complete the online payment form will incur a 3.9% + .35c credit card processing fee. Students may choose to avoid that fee by mailing in a check or money order to the address provided in the invoice instructions. Mail in options should be payable to “APTS.” If you select this option, you must postmark your payment on or before October 26, 2026 to ensure timely processing.
Any exams with payment outstanding on November 4, 2026 will incur a $40 late payment penalty fee. Late payment submission will be available until March 1, 2027.
4. State of Indiana Exam Fee Subsidies: The State of Indiana will subsidize the exam fees for each student for up to TWO exams for May 2027 (pertains only to specific subjects). The exam fee for all students for two exams will be only $0 per exam. To view a list of the subjects of subsidized exams, click HERE. The subsidy will automatically be reflected on your invoice.
5. Fee reductions: Additional fee reductions beyond the State subsidy are possible for qualified students and will reduce the cost of exams to $56 per exam. Invoices for qualifying students will automatically reflect the fee reduction. If you believe you qualify for a fee reduction that is not reflected on your invoice, please contact your school AP Coordinator, Ms. Gruss at grussa@wl.k12.in.us
6. Cancellations/Refunds: To cancel and remove an exam from your invoice BEFORE payment submission and BEFORE your payment deadline, email cancel@aptsusa.com no later than October 28, 2026 and include your invoice number, your name and the title of the exam to remove. A new invoice will be issued and must be paid in full by October 30, 2026.
Cancellation requests after October 30, 2026 and before March 1, 2027 will incur a $40 cancellation penalty fee. (If this was an exam for which you paid, you’d forfeit $40 to cover the fee and receive a partial refund. If this was a subsidized exam for which you paid $0 upfront, you will be billed $40 due by March 1.) To cancel, email cancel@aptsusa.com no later than 11:59pm EST on March 1, 2027 and include your invoice number, your name and the title of the exam to cancel.
Any cancellation requests after March 1, 2027 will receive no refund.
7. Can’t find your invoice? The invoice is sent to the student email address you have listed on your College Board MyAP Profile. If you cannot find the invoice in your inbox OR junk mail, email info@aptsusa.com and provide your name, name of your school, and (if available) your AP ID number and you will receive a reply with a link to your invoice and your invoice will be re-issued.
8. Self-Studying for an Exam: If you plan to take an exam for which you are not in an AP Course at West Lafayette HS (or you are a student who does NOT attend West Lafayette HS), please contact West Lafayette Jr/Sr High School AP Coordinator, Ms. Gruss at grussa@wl.k12.in.us for a special Exam Only Join Code to add to your MyAP account and to trigger issuance of an invoice. The exam fee for self-studying exams are $93 for ALL students, regardless of fee status. To avoid penalty fees, self-studying exams must be added to MyAP and paid for before October 30, 2026.
* Students enrolled in a course that starts in the second semester (January) will be issued a second or updated invoice at that time. And these courses, and only these courses, will have penalty free exam registration until February 26, 2027.
