How do I order an AP Exam?
Step 1: Submit Exam Fees – All exams must be prepaid. To initiate an order, students submit their exam fees via this website between September 16 and October 15, 2022. To submit fees, click on the link below and complete the online payment form. Payment may be submitted with credit or debit card or mailed in with a check/money order.
Step 2: Activate Exam – Students with successfully submitted exam fee payments will receive at their student email address provided on the payment form a “Next Steps” email that will detail exam activation steps.
Students must activate their exams on The College Board MyAP site by JOINing their AP® Exam on the MyAP Site at https://myap.collegeboard.org To access the site, create or use a College Board Profile. You will then ‘Join’ your classes by entering the Exam Join Code (Access Code) that will link you to your specific subject. Join Codes will be provided in your “Next Steps” email that will be emailed to you by APTS within 24-hrs of confirming successful payment submission.
October 15, 2022 is the deadline to activate your exam.
BOTH Step 1 AND Step 2 must be completed by October 15, 2022 to complete the exam order. Failure to complete the exam activation step 2, will result in the pending exam order to be cancelled and no order submitted.
Late registration is possible with a penalty fee of $40 per exam. Late registration will run November 15, 2022 until March 1, 2023.
Tips for setting up your College Board Profile on MyAP:
– Students should use an email address that you will have access to throughout high school AND university and that is checked frequently so you can receive alerts regarding your exams
– Make sure to enter your COMPLETE legal name to prevent issues with sending score reports to colleges and universities
– Send Scores: You can log into your MyAP account and request a free copy of your AP® Exam score report sent to a college/university of your choice. The deadline to request the free score report is June 15. Log in and navigate to My AP Profile and then ‘Send Scores.’
I can’t access my College Board Profile account or am not sure I have one. What do I do?
The College Board Profile is the same account used to access your past years’ AP® scores, PSAT® scores, and SAT® scores. Do not create a new one! Each student should have only ONE unique account. If you are unable to access the account, try using the ‘Forget Password?’ link on http://myap.collegeboard.org OR email apstudents@info.collegeboard.org OR call 888-225-5427 for assistance.
Where do I get the Join Code to complete the join step on the MyAP site?
Join Codes are subject specific and are issued upon successful payment submission via email. Join Codes are sent to the student email address provided on the payment form, and the subject line of the email is “Next Steps – Exam Activation.”
I haven’t received my “Next Steps” email with the exam join code. What do I do?
Join Codes are emailed out in the “Next Steps” email within 24-hrs of confirmation of successful payment submission. They are sent to the student email address provided on the payment form so that the student can complete the exam activation steps in their student College Board accounts. Please check your spam folder. If you are unable to find the exam, please email info@aptsusa.com for assistance – include in the email your name, name of your school, and a short message. Join Codes will NOT be issued over the phone. Please send the request to re-issue the Join Codes from an email address linked to your payment form – for faster identify verification.
