Families and students enrolled in Princeton ISD, can register here for the 2025 PSAT® 8-9 Exam to be administered on October 17, 2025.
Please read through the information below and then select the exam format button that you prefer to place your order.
1. Registration & Fees
Students in grade 8 and 9 attending the following campuses may register for the October 2025 PSAT® 8-9 exam:
- Lovelady High School
- Clark Middle School
- Mattei Middle School
- Southard Middle School
Registration is available between July 30, 2025 and September 17, 2025. (midnight CST.)
No late registration is possible.
The exam will be administered to students at their campus of attendance on October 17, 2025 during school hours.
The cost for each exam is $20.
If you need accommodations for the exam, please contact Amber McIntyre at amcintyre@princetonisd.net no later than August 15, 2025.
2. Why take the PSAT® 9 exam?
The PSAT® 8-9 is the first test in the SAT® Suite of Assessments. Tightly aligned with the SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, and PSAT® 10, it establishes a baseline for college and career readiness as students enter high school. The PSAT® 8-9 is designed for eighth- and ninth-graders. Students who take the PSAT® 8-9 will receive personalized SAT® study resources based on their results.
In grade 10 students can take the PSAT® 10 and in grade 11 students take the PSAT/NMSQT® (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.)
3. Where do you report for the PSAT® 8-9 exam?
Exam day reporting information will be provided by your school closer to exam day.

Can I cancel the exam and get a refund?
No cancellations or refunds are possible.
How do I prepare for the exam?

What do I need to know about the test day?
Exam day specifics and reporting information will be communicated by your campus closer to the test date. Please plan for the following:

- ALL students taking the exam must have a CURRENT school- or government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or school ID.)
- All examinees must have their school-issued Chromebook for the exam in a fully charged state.
- Students should bring a charge/power cord.
- Students should bring pencil and pen.
- Students may bring water and a snack

When and how are scores for the exam released?
Exam scores are typically released 4-6 weeks to your school and will be distributed by your school
