How do I place an AP® exam order?
Step 1: Activate Exam – By now all AP students should have joined their AP class section(s) through MyAP. This was completed in class with your AP teacher on September 16th and 17th. For any students who have not joined, please contact Mrs. Jorgenson directly (email@example.com). This step needs to be completed before paying for your AP exams.
Students must JOIN their AP® Class on the MyAP Site at https://myap.collegeboard.org To access the site, create or use a College Board Profile.
The College Board Profile is the same account used to access your past years’ AP® scores, PSAT® scores, and SAT® scores. Do not create a new one if you can’t remember your log in! Each student should have only ONE unique account. If you are unable to access the account, try using the ‘Forget Password?’ link on http://myap.collegeboard.org OR email firstname.lastname@example.org OR call 888-225-5427 for assistance.
Complete the online registration pages and update your personal information. Make sure to use a PERSONAL email address that is checked frequently so you can receive notifications from both APTS and The College Board.
Join Codes are issued by your ALOP teachers. Join Codes are teacher, subject and class period specific.
To join a class, click ‘Add Class/Exam’ when logged in and enter the join code for each AP class you are taking.
ALL students should join the online AP class to access free online College Board resources for their AP course. Exams will only be ordered if a corresponding exam fee is also on file.
Deadline to Join and thereby activate the exam is October 27, 2020.*
Step 2: Submit Exam Fee Deposit – To take an AP® exam in the May 2021 AP® Exam administration, exam fees must be submitted by October 26, 2020 *by clicking the link below and completing the payment form.
Payment can be submitted online with a debit or credit card OR by mailing in a check or money order. Online payments incur a 3% processing fee. Mail in payments have no additional fee. Postmark deadline to ensure timely processing of mail in payments is October 21, 2020.
Tips for setting up your College Board Profile on MyAP:
– Use an email address that you will have access to throughout high school AND university
– Make sure to enter your COMPLETE legal name to prevent issues with sending score reports to colleges and universities
– Enter your school student ID number to assist your school in reporting your attendance to the exam to your school AND help identify errors in names.
I can’t access my College Board Profile account or am not sure I have one. What do I do?

Where do I get the Join Code to complete the join step on the MyAP site?
Join Codes are subject, teacher, and period specific. Please see your AP® teacher ASAP to complete the step by October 26.
What if I miss the October 26 deadline to submit a deposit?*
No exam order can be initiated after October 23, 2020 EXCEPT for courses that commence in the Spring/Seecond semester. It is therefore CRUCIAL to meet the October 26 deadline.*
Can I cancel my exam?
Students who register for an exam but decide to cancel must do so by midnight on October 26, 2020 to receive a full refund. The cancellation notification must be submitted in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org and include the student’s name, the Academy of Our Lady of Peace’s name, and the title of the exam the student wishes to cancel. Any exam cancellation requests submitted after October 26, 2020 and before midnight on February 15, 2021 will receive a partial refund of $94. Credit card fees are non refundable. No exam cancellations or refunds will be processed after February 15, 2021.
Can I change when I take the exam?
Exam times are set by The College Board. Note that AP® Exams must be taken only at the times established by The College Board. Review the calendar at the link below.
Is there financial aid available for the 2021 AP® exams?
Fee reductions are available to eligible students, but must be applied for by October 21, 2020 to meet the exam activation deadline. To apply for a fee reduction, contact Ms. Jorgenson or your Guidance Counselor for forms and instructions no later than October 21, 2020 (This verification process may take several days.) Students who qualify for a fee reduction will receive a discount code to apply to the online payment form by the deadline.. This fee code will automatically adjust the exam fee due.

What if I get sick and can’t make the exam?
There are provisions for students who become sick or injured during or right before testing. In case of such an emergency, please contact your AP® Coordinator at your school IMMEDIATELY. A doctor’s note will be required. IMMEDIATE contact – if ill on the day of the scheduled exam – is crucial due to the deadlines involved in ordering make up materials.
Where do I report for my exams?
Exam location information will be shared with examinees by your school closer to the exam dates in May.
