PROCEDURES AND DEADLINES:
STEP 1: Activate your exam on The College Board MyAP website – Students must JOIN their AP® Exam Class on the MyAP Site at https://myap.collegeboard.org to activate the exam order and click on “Register for Exam”. To access the site, create or use a College Board Profile. Deadline to activate your exam: November 1, 2025.
STEP 2: Submit Exam Fees – Submit exam fees for your May 2026 AP® Exams between September 24 and November 5, 2025 via the payment link below.
General Policies and Information:
1. Advanced Placement (AP®) Examinations must be paid for and ordered in advance. Payment submission for the May 2026 exams is possible from September 24 through 11:59pm, November 5, 2025.*
Spaces for exams are limited. Early registration is recommended to secure a space.
2. The cost of each AP® exam is $165 per exam.
3. All exams must be activated on the College Board MyAP site at http://myap.collegeboard.org by November 1, 2025* – students log into the MyAP site with a current College Board account (the same account used to register for SAT exams or to collect PSAT/NMSQT and AP exam scores from past years.) If a student does not have an account, they will need to create one.
To link the exam subject to their account, students will need a Join Code (access code) to apply to their MyAP Accounts and thereby join MyAP AP Classroom.
The Join Codes for the AP Classroom can be obtained from the AP course teachers.
Students registering for exams for which they are self-studying or if they do not attend Franklin academy, will be issued a special Exam Only code that will provide exam activation but no access to AP Classroom. To request an Exam Only code, click on the link for the request form below.
4. All exams must be pre-paid via the online APTS system (at the payment form link below), which accepts credit card and debit card payments. Payment with a credit or debit card has a 3.9% credit card fee added. To submit an order using check or money order, please complete the order online via the link below and follow the directions to mail your order form and payment to the address on your confirmation. Postmark deadline to ensure timely processing is October 28, 2025.
5. For a student to have a complete exam order, BOTH exam activation AND fee submission are required by November 5, 2025.
6. Late registration is possible between November 14, 2025 and March 3, 2026 with a penalty fee of $45 per exam.*
7. Exams with accommodations will incur a $100 per exam proctoring fee in addition to the exam fee. An invoice will be issued for proctoring fees by APTS to the parent email address on the payment form in late March. Payment is due April 30, 2026 to remain eligible for testing.
8. Fee reductions sponsored by the College Board are available to families who qualify. Please contact the Franklin Academy AP Coordinator to request an application and a Fee Reduction discount code to apply to the payment form on this site.
9. Refunds/Cancellations: Per Franklin Academy policies, no refunds or cancellations are possible.
10. Students who are requesting Late Testing must obtain approval by contacting the Franklin Academy school registrar at registrar@franklinacademy.us. Late Testing requests must meet The College Board criteria for rescheduling. An additional fee of $150 per exam will be assessed via invoice and must be paid at least 24-hrs before the start time of the alternate exam.
* Students enrolled in a course that begins in the Spring semester (i.e. January) and only these students can submit a payment without penalty between January 5 and March 3, 2026. Due to space limitations, it is recommended to submit your payment as soon as possible in the academic year.
