Tips for setting up your College Board Profile on MyAP®:
– Use an email address that you will have access to throughout high school AND university
– Make sure to enter your COMPLETE legal name to prevent issues with sending score reports to colleges and universities
– Enter your school Student ID number in the field provided on MyAP®. This will assist your school in accurate exam day attendance reporting
– Carefully select your school of enrollment: If students have to search for their school name, it’s possible there could be multiple search results of the same school name. To ensure accurate score reporting, students need to select their correct school.
I can’t access my College Board Profile account. What do I do?
Do NOT create a new account!
Try using the ‘Forget Password?’ link on http://myap.collegeboard.org OR email apstudents@info.collegeboard.org OR call 888-225-5427 for assistance.
Can I change when I take the exam?
Exam times are set by The College Board and schools must adhere to these dates/times strictly to ensure exam content security.
Is there financial aid available for the 2024 exams?
Yes! Forest Charter School is committed to ensuring every student can take an AP® exam. If you believe that you are eligible for a fee reduction on your exam, please contact Ms. Sagebiel to request a reduction at ksagebiel@forestcharter.com
Eligible students will be provided a Fee Reduction Code to apply to the online payment form linked on this page and the code will reduce the exam fees.
What if I have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 plan?
The College Board must approve any changes or modifications to the AP® exam administration. Students with a current IEP or 504 plan who wish to receive testing accommodations must contact their special education liaison (IEP) or guidance counselor (504) ASAP. The deadline to submit applications for accommodations is January 18, 2024.
What may I bring with me into the exam room?
Students MUST bring their current student ID, number two pencils (mechanical pencils have the ability to tear the answer sheet and are therefore not permitted), erasers, pens with black or blue ink, and a calculator (if needed – calculator must be a College Board approved calculator – click HERE for a list of approved calculators.)
What should I NOT bring into the exam room?
-Cell phone, smartwatch, iPad, or any other digital device. If you are found to be in possession of any of these items, even if turned off, you will be dismissed from the exam. If a device is used at any point during testing or the breaks, or is not used but makes sound, the College Board requires that the exam proctor take the device and gain access to it for inspection (this policy is outlined HERE).
-Back packs.
-Highlighters.
What if I finish the exam early? Can I leave early?
Per College Board’s security regulations for exams, students may not leave the test until time is called and ALL examinees are excused together. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Please notify your team coach, employer, parent, etc. regarding the timing of the exam. Most exams take approximately 4 hours to complete.
This same policy applies to students testing with extended time. Students with extended time do not have to use all the extended time provided to them, but they must use the regular allotted exam time and cannot leave before the standard time has passed.
Where can I go for additional information regarding AP®exams?
