Prepare for your 2023 AP exams:
To prepare for your AP Exams, please review the following carefully and complete the information below:

- Check in for morning exams starts at 7:30 a.m. with no admission as of 8:01am.
- Check in for afternoon exams starts at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with no admission as of 12:15 p.m.
- Please make sure that you are in the room on time since every minute before the exam timing begins counts to make sure you are ready to test!
- Morning exam administration will begin at 8:01 a.m. and afternoon at 12:15 p.m. Students who report after exam administration begins will not be admitted and will not be eligible to reschedule or a partial refund. No exceptions.
- Exams will take approximately 4 hours (Calculated from Check in time). Please plan accordingly. Students will not be allowed to leave the test early. Release times for exams vary depending on a variety of factors including but not limited to structure of the exam, timely arrival at the start of all students, prompt return by students from the break, etc. On average, plan for release 4 hours from check in.
- What are you REQUIRED to bring with to the exam?
- Current picture ID (school ID or driver’s license). Without a current picture ID students will not be admitted to the testing room
- Pencils AND black/blue ink pens – BOTH are required for all exams
- Calculator for the exams that allow it (Please review requirements here)
- For AP French, AP Music Theory and AP Spanish Language, the student is required to bring their school issued/managed Chromebook in fully charged readiness. (We recommend you restart it the day before to ensure the most up to date apps).
- What are you NOT allowed to bring with to the exam?
- ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION DEVICES, BACKPACKS, PURSES OR BAGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN TESTING CENTERS. We recommend those are left at home or in your vehicle.
- Smartwatches and internet enabled fitness trackers are NOT allowed.
- No books, notes, scratch paper, or study materials may enter the testing room with you.
- What MAY you bring with you to the exam?
- Students MAY bring water and snacks for the exam break. Snacks and water must be in clear containers (containers must be clear and transparent) and carried in plastic bags. Food or drinks other than water will not be allowed in the testing area. Only water may be taken to your seat and must be in a clear bottle (no labels) and be kept on the floor under your seat during testing. Food items or other drinks must be left in designated areas outside the testing area. These items may not be accessed during testing, but can be accessed at the break between exams.
- Cell phones or study materials in these bags will be confiscated and may result in disciplinary action.
- We recommend that you bring a watch with NO beeping alarm to help you track timing for the exam.
- What if you are ill on exam day and cannot attend the exam?

- Email helpdesk@aptsusa.com IMMEDIATELY. There is a 24-hr window to request a make up exam.
- Include in the email your name, name of the exam, and your campus of attendance
- Note that rescheduling an exam must adhere to the College Board make up regulations as well as CHS’s Attendance and Make up Policy. A doctor’s note may be required in cases of illness.
