All current 9th grade Bryan ISD students will be taking the PSAT® 8-9 on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 and are automatically registered and do not need to register.

Private school students in Grade 8 or 9 who would like to join Bryan ISD students on exam day, please review the information below.

1. Registration & Fees
Private school students in Grade 8 or 9 may register for the 2020 PSAT® 8-9 exam to be administered in Bryan ISD during school hours on October 14, 2020.
Registration is open to join Bryan High School or Rudder High School.
Deadline to register is September 8, 2020. No late registration is possible.
The cost for each exam is $13.
All students who wish to join Bryan ISD students must complete the online order/registration form: Order the PSAT® 8-9
At the end of the form, payment will be submitted either online (using a credit or debit card), or by selecting Mail-in (for checks or money orders.) Online payments have a 3% processing fee automatically added. No additional processing fee is added for Mail-in payment submissions. Instructions on how to complete the payment process via mail-in will be emailed to the parent email address provided on the online registration form.
You will have an opportunity on the registration form to select the Bryan ISD school site where you would like to take the exam.

2. Why take the PSAT® 8-9 exam?
The PSAT® 8-9 is the first test in the SAT® Suite of Assessments. Tightly aligned with the SAT®, PSAT/NMSQT®, and PSAT® 10, it establishes a baseline for college and career readiness as students enter high school. The PSAT® 8-9 is designed for eighth- and ninth-graders. Students who take the PSAT® 8-9 will receive personalized SAT® study resources based on their results.
In grade 9, students can take the PSAT® 8-9 and in grades 10 and 11, students can take the PSAT/NMSQT® (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.)
3. How are scores released?
Students will receive a paper score report at school with a unique code giving them access to a robust online score report that will grow to include every test in the redesigned SAT® Suite of Assessments. The online experience is designed to help students understand their scores better and use the feedback to build new skills by providing a detailed breakdown of their performance. (Scores are NOT released to Colleges/Universities.)
4. Can I cancel my exam and receive a refund?
Students can cancel for full refund of the $13 exam fee through September 9, 2020. Please email cancel@aptsusa.com and include your student’s name, name of the exam, and the host campus.
5. How do I prepare for the exam?
College Board offers detailed information as well as preparation tools developed in partnership with The Khan Academy. Access Prep Tools
6. Where do I report for the exam?
When completing the online order form, you will have the opportunity to select the school or testing site (registration is open at Bryan High School and Rudder High School.)
As the exam date approaches, the host school will communicate check in and exam day details.
