WELCOME TO THE BISHOP’S SCHOOL AP® EXAM REGISTRATION
Families and students enrolled at The Bishop’s School can register here for the 2023 Advanced Placement (AP®) exam administration.
FALL DEADLINE TO REGISTER: October 31, 2022
LATE Registration Deadline: February 28, 2023
Exam Fee: $110 per exam (Late registration incurs a $40 penalty)
Registration Deadlines and Procedures:
Step 1: Submit Exam Fee – Click on Submit AP® Exam Payment and complete the online payment form to submit fees. All students registering for an exam must complete the online payment form, regardless of method of payment. Payment deadline is October 31, 2022. Late registration is possible from November 15, 2022 until February 28, 2023 with a penalty fee of $40 per exam.
Step 2: Activate Exam – After the payment portal has closed, the AP Coordinator will email a JOIN code to students that paid for AP exam(s). Students must then enter that JOIN code in their personal College Board MyAP account. The Fall deadline to enter the JOIN code in the student’s personal College Board account is November 7, 2022. The Spring LATE Registration deadline to enter the JOIN CODE is March 3, 2023. The AP® Coordinator will send instructions to assist students with this step when emailing the exam JOIN codes.
-If the student is not enrolled in an Honors designated class but wants to take an AP® Exam, contact Ms. Kullback, AP® Coordinator, for approval to obtain an ‘Exam Only’ JOIN Code.
General Policies and Information:
1. The cost of each AP® Exam is $110 each.
Payment must be submitted by October 31, 2022.
Late registration will be available from November 16 through February 28, 2023 with an additional fee of $40 per exam.
No new exam orders will be accepted after February 28, 2023, midnight PST.
2. Students must also activate their exam on The College Board’s MyAP system. Deadline to activate the exam is November 7, 2022. The LATE registration deadline to activate the exam is March 3, 2023. To activate the exam students must:
- Obtain an AP® Class Join Code
- After the payment portal has closed, the AP Coordinator will email a JOIN code to students that paid for AP exam(s). Students must then enter that JOIN code in their personal College Board MyAP account. The deadline to enter the JOIN code in the student’s personal College Board account is November 7, 2022. - Log into MyAP at http://myap.collegeboard.org with their College Board Profile (See FAQs) and apply the Join Code.
3. To initiate an AP® Exam order successfully, students MUST submit payment AND complete the activation/join step on MyAP.
Failure to complete both steps by the specified deadlines means that the school AP Coordinator cannot submit the exam order to College Board.
4. Payments for exams may be made via credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3.1% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online payment form and in your e-mail confirmation which will be sent to the email address you provide on the registration form. Postmark deadline to ensure timely mail in processing for the Fall payment period is October 25, 2022.
5. Fee Reductions: Fee reductions sponsored by the College Board are available to families who qualify. Your school AP® Coordinator will be contacting you with a discount code if you qualify.

7. Please note: Due to space constraints, only students currently enrolled in the Bishop’s School Chinese Honors IV course may register for that AP® exam.
8. Refunds: A partial refund of $70 is possible for exam orders through April 15, 2023 at 11:59pm PST. (A $40 College Board cancellation penalty fee will be retained.) To cancel your exam order, please email cancel@aptsusa.com and include the student name, name of the school, and the exam order to cancel. No cancellations are possible after April 15, 2023. No shows on exam days will not be eligible for rescheduling or a partial refund.
9. Exam location information will be released closer to the actual exam administration.
