
Students and families enrolled in the schools of Sweetwater Union High School District can submit exam fees here for the 2025-2026 Advanced Placement (AP) Exams.
Payment Deadline: November 3, 2025*
1.Registration is open from September 1, 2025 to November 3, 2025. The cost per exam is $102 per exam.
- The cost per exam for students who are eligible for the Free-Reduced Lunch program is $12 per exam.
- Late registration is possible from November 15, 2025 until March 3, 2026 for a penalty fee of $40 per exam.
2. Exam registration for 2026 AP exams requires two steps: activation of your exam on the College Board MyAP site AND submission of exam fees by November 3, 2025.*
Step 1: Activate the exam –To Activate an Exam on the College Board MyAP site students log into their College Board profile accounts via http://myap.collegeboard.org
Once logged into MyAP, students will JOIN the AP® Class with a teacher and subject specific Join Code (Access Code.) Join Codes will be distributed in their AP class. Joining the class automatically activates the exam.
ALL students should complete the Join Step to become part of the online AP Class community and access free College Board course resources, regardless of whether they are taking the exam. Exams are only ORDERED if payment is submitted via step 2.
Deadline to activate the exam on MyAP is November 3, 2025.*
Step 2: Submit Exam Fees – Click on the link below that corresponds to your school of attendance and complete the online payment form to submit fees by November 3, 2025.
All exams must be through the APTS system, which accepts credit card and debit card payments as well as mail in payments by check or money order. A 3.9% online payment fee will be added to the exam fees for online payment. If you do not wish to use the online payment option, you may select the mail in payment option for no additional fees. Mail in payment must be postmarked by October 29, 2025 to ensure timely processing. Instructions regarding the mailing in of the check or money order payment will be emailed to the parent email address provided on the registration form upon completion of the form.

Late registration will be possible from November 15, 2025 until March 3, 2026 with a penalty fee of $40 per exam. Late Registration payment is only possible online.

3. Students who fail to complete BOTH the exam activation step and the fee submission by the deadline will not have a fully complete exam order and no order will be submitted for them to College Board. BOTH activation of the exam and fee submission is required. Exams that do not have a corresponding exam fee submitted by November 3, 2025 will be deactivated in the MyAP System and not ordered.
4. Fee Reductions: Students who meet the College Board Fee Reduction Guidelines based on family/household income may apply for a Fee Reduction Code by contacting their school’s AP Coordinator (see below). Approved students will be provided with a Fee Reduction Code. The Fee Reduction Code will be applied to your exam payment form to reduce the exam fees significantly. Please apply for the code BEFORE completing the online payment form. All code usage will be verified.
5. Accommodations on exams: Students must request pre-approval to receive accommodations on exams. Approval only needs to be requested once during high school and rolls over each year. Please contact your school site AP Coordinator for more information. NEW requests for accommodations must be submitted to the AP Coordinator before January 16, 2026.
6. Cancellations/Exam Changes:
- Students who have submitted exam fees and who have decided to not take the exam, are eligible for a full refund of the base exam fees (minus a $2 administrative processing fee) if cancellation is submitted before 11:59pm PST on November 3, 2025. Submit a cancellation request by emailing the APTS Cancellation Desk at cancel@aptsusa.com
- Include in the email the student name
- Include in the email the name of the school of attendance
- Include in the email the title of the exam to cancel
- Note: Debit and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
- Students who submit a cancellation request after November 3, 2025 and before 11:59pm PST on March 3, 2026 will receive a partial refund of the exam fees (minus a $2 administrative processing fee and minus a $40 College Board cancellation penalty fee.) Any late fees that were submitted will be forfeited.
- Partial refunds will be issued as follows based on payment schedule:
- Standard Price: $102 – A refund of $60 will be issued
- Free-Reduced Lunch Price: $12 – student will forfeit the fees

- Include in the email the student name
- Include in the email the name of the school of attendance
- Include in the email the title of the exam to cancel
- Note: Debit and credit card processing fees are non-refundable.
- Partial refunds will be issued as follows based on payment schedule:
- Exam cancellations after March 3, 2026 and no shows on the day of the exam will not be issued a refund.
7. Late Ordering: Exams that do not have a payment on file by end of day on November 3, 2025 will not be ordered from The College Board and will be deactivated in the MyAP system.*
Reactivating or late registration will be possible from November 15, 2025 until March 3, 2026 with a penalty fee of $40 per exam. (This does not apply to exams corresponding to courses that COMMENCE in the Spring.)
* Students who are enrolled in courses that COMMENCE in the Spring semester will be able to order exams without penalty from January 1, 2026 through March 3, 2026. Payment is due in full by March 3, 2026. These students and only these students will have no penalty fees in the Spring.
