How do I place an AP® exam order?
STEP 1: Enroll in your MyAP Class – (This step was likely completed in class but you should confirm that the exam is activated. See below.) Log into the College Board MyAP site at http://myap.collegeboard.org using your College Board profile and apply the ‘Join Code’ (access code) you receive from your teacher for each of your subjects.
College Board profiles are the same accounts used to order SAT® exams, or to collect prior year PSAT/NMSQT® or AP® Exam scores. Do not create a new account if you already have one (see below for tips.)
If you have never created a College Board account, create one by clicking on ‘Create Account’ on http://myap.collegeboard.org
Students will obtain a Join Code (access code) from their AP® Course teachers. Join Codes for the MyAP Site are subject, teacher and class period specific.
Activate the exam on MyAP by joining the online class by clicking “Add Class/Exam” and entering the Join Code.
ALL Students should complete the Join Step to be able to access the free online resources for their AP® Subject made available on MyAP.
Once the student has joined the online AP® Class group, they will be prompted to complete or update their MyAP Profile pages.
Step 2: Register for your exam – Students who want to take the optional exam, will also click on “Register for exam” to activate the exam and submit a corresponding exam fee (see below).

STEP 3: Submit exam fees – Click on “Submit AP Exam Payment” below and complete the online payment form to submit your fees.
ALL students should complete the payment form, even if they have been approved for a fee waiver due to family income or hardship.
Payment for exams may be done via credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online payment form and in your e-mail confirmation which will be sent to the parent email address you provide on the payment form.
Deadline to postmark a mail in payment is October 27 to ensure processing before the October 31 regular registration deadline.*
⇒ All must be completed by October 31, 2021 to activate the exam order. Failure to complete all steps by October 31, 2021 means the AP Coordinator for your school cannot submit an exam order to College Board and the exam will be deactivated.*

What if I can’t log into my College Board profile or can’t remember if I have one?
Students create College Board profiles to access their AP®, PSAT® and SAT® scores or to register for an SAT® or SAT® 2 Exam. You may already have an account if you have taken these exams in the past.
Don’t create a second account!
Each student should have only ONE College Board account during their high school careers which houses AP®, PSAT® and SAT® scores and information. For log in help visit: https://pages.collegeboard.org/account-help or https://myap.collegeboard.org Students may also call College Board AP® Services for Students: 1-866-630-9305.
Which email address and name should I use on my College Board profile?
Students should use their legal name (to match school records), so that the name will also match the student’s School ID or driver’s license at exam check in. College Board also sends scores electronically to colleges/universities. A discrepancy in name can result in score reporting issues and delays. To update a name or correct a name, contact College Board at 1-866-630-9305.
Students should use an email address that they will have access to BEYOND high school.
College Board does not collect Social Security numbers, so your account is identified as unique based on your email address, School Student ID number, and name. Be consistent in how you enter information!
What if I qualify for Free-Reduced Lunch or other Fee Reductions?

- Before completing the APTS payment form on this site, submit a Fee Reduction application with Escondido Unified High School District by completing the form available as of October 10 here:
- Students who are approved, will receive via email a Fee Reduction Discount Code

- When prompted, respond ‘Yes’ to the question if you have been approved for a fee reduction and enter the Fee Reduction Discount Code. The code will automatically waive the exam fees
- Code usage will be verified by APTS with EUHSD.
- Students should apply for a fee waiver by October 25th to ensure timely processing of the waiver and to receive the code by the payment deadline.
- Exams ordered with a fee waiver during the late ordering period will be subject to the $40 College Board late ordering fee.

What if I am enrolled in a course that starts after the deadlines?
Students enrolled in the AP Macroeoconomics course that COMMENCES in the Spring/Second semester, will not be able to join the class on MyAP and activate the exam before the course begins.
Fees for the exam corresponding to the Spring course MAY be submitted in the Fall payment period, but it is not recommended since there are no refunds processed.

Where do I get an admission ticket?
Students do not need admission tickets to enter the AP® Exam testing facilities for in-person exams. However, each student does need a CURRENT picture id, such as a school ID or a driver’s license. Without picture ID students will not be allowed to enter the room.
What may I bring with me to the exam room?
Students may not bring into the exam room any type of backpack or bag, including purses. No study guides or materials are allowed. No cell phones, smartwatches or electronic communication devices are allowed. No iPads, iPods or MP3 players are allowed. No highlighters are allowed. Students may not bring bottled water/drinks or food to the testing room. (See Test Site Regulations for more information.) Students MUST bring a current picture ID, pencils, pens in blue or black ink, and a calculator if applicable.
How do I figure out where my exam will be administered?
Exam day specifics will be released by the school to examinees closer to exam day.
When do I need to report to the testing room?
General information for reporting include the following: For morning exams, students need to report to the testing room at 7:30am. For afternoon exams students need to report to the testing room at 11:30am. We encourage students to be early/ on time for check in since the large number of examinees can mean that check in may take time.
Testing will begin at 8:00am for morning exams and at 12:00pm for afternoon exams. For security reasons and per College Board regulations, students will NOT be admitted to the room once the exam materials have been opened. Late arrivals who are not admitted to the room are considered ‘no shows’ and are not eligible for the partial refund or for make-up of the exam.
How do I know when the exam is? How do I know how long the exam is?
Exam calendar is posted on the link below. Exams are either Morning (7:30 a.m. check-in) exams or Afternoon (11:30am. check-in) exams. On average, exams last 4 hours (this includes approximately 15 minutes of time spent on completing identifying information, etc.) Students should notify coaches, parents, etc. accordingly since no early dismissal is possible from the exam.
Do I need to excuse my absence from school during the exam?
Your school will receive a copy of an attendance roster from the exam so you will automatically be excused for the class periods that are affected by the testing. You are not excused for the entire day. You must follow your school site’s protocol for checking back in when returning to class (i.e. checking in with Attendance to get a pass.) You are responsible for all school work missed during your absence for AP® Exams.
Attendance reporting is based on your student ID number – make sure you have entered that in on the MyAP® Registration profile on http://myap.collegeboard.org
What if I decide to not take an exam? Can I get a refund?
A cancellation fee will not be charged if you choose to cancel your exam; however, refunds will not be provided.
To withdraw from an exam, email cancel@aptsusa.com – Include in your email your name, your student ID number, the school you attend, and the title of your exam that you would like to cancel.
Cancellation requests must be submitted by February 28, 2022.
What if I finish the exam early? Can I leave early?
Per College Board’s security regulations for exams, students may not leave the test until time is called and all examinees are excused together. If a student leaves without permission, their exam will be collected and submitted separately to College Board. Their score will be cancelled and no refund will be possible. Exams are approximately 4 hours. Please be prepared for the duration of the exam.
What if I get sick and can’t make the exam?
There are provisions for students who become sick or injured during or right before testing. In case of such an emergency, please contact your school AP® Coordinator immediately. Deadlines apply for ordering make up exams. You should contact your AP® Coordinator before or on the day of your exam if you are ill if possible to avoid missing make up exam ordering deadlines.
What if I need to reschedule my exam?
College Board is extremely strict regarding qualifying for rescheduling an AP® exam to the Late Testing (make-up) window. In addition, the reason for requesting late testing must also meet the EUHSD School Board Approved regulations for excused absences. In conjunction with College Board regulations, EUHSD approved reasons to reschedule an exam include: extreme illness (hospitalization or medical care, a doctor’s note will be required), bereavement, court appearance, conflict with another AP® exam, or a school sponsored sport or academic event. Additional fees may apply and documentation may be required. Students are NOT eligible for Late Testing for reasons such as: family trips, conflict with an in-class exam/activity, or having selected the incorrect AP® exam subject when you submitted your order. How do I get my scores?
