How do I place an AP® exam order?
STEP 1: Activate your exam on The College Board MyAP website – Students must JOIN their AP® Exam Groups on the MyAP Site at https://myap.collegeboard.org to activate the exam order and complete the process. To access the site, create or use a College Board Profile.
Your College Board Profile is the same profile used to order SAT® exams or to collect PSAT/NMSQT® or AP® Exam scores from previous years. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. (See the tips below regarding what information is crucial on the account.)
To Join the Exam Group and thereby activate the exam, you will receive from each AP subject teacher a subject and teacher specific Join Code (or access code) to apply to your MyAP profile. For students registering for exams that are not linked to an official AP Course at PVHS, you will receive your Join Code via email from APTS once payment for the exam has successfully processed.
Deadline to activate your exam: October 22, 2021.
STEP 2: Submit Exam Fees – Submit exam fees for your May 2022 AP® Exams between October 1 and October 22, 2021 via the link below.
Both Step 1 and 2 must be completed by October 22, 2021 to activate the exam order fully. Failure to complete both steps 1 and 2 by the October 22, 2021 deadline means the AP Coordinator for your school cannot submit an exam order as initiated with College Board.
Tips for setting up your College Board Profile on MyAP:
– Use an email address that you will have access to throughout high school AND university and that is frequently checked to enable receipt of alerts from APTS and the College Board.
– Make sure to enter your COMPLETE legal name to prevent issues with sending score reports to colleges and universities.
– Enter your school student ID number to assist your school in reporting your attendance to the exam to your school AND help identify errors in names.
– Send Scores: on your MyAP Profile page you will be able to select the college/university to receive your scores in the summer – a free score report will be sent if you indicate the college/university by June 15.
I can’t access my College Board Profile account or am not sure I have one. What do I do?
The College Board Profile is the same account used to access your past years’ AP® scores, PSAT® scores, and SAT® scores. Do not create a new one! Each student should have only ONE unique account. If you are unable to access the account, try using the ‘Forget Password?’ link on http://myap.collegeboard.org OR email firstname.lastname@example.org OR call 888-225-5427 for assistance.
Where do I get the Join Code to complete the join step on the MyAP site?
Join Codes are subject, teacher, and period specific. Please see your AP® teacher ASAP to complete the step by October 22. For students registering for exams that are not linked to an official AP Course at PVS, you will receive your Join Code from the school coordinator once payment for the exam has successfully processed.
What if I miss the October 22 deadline to activate my exam or submit fees?
No exam order can be initiated after October 22, 2021. It is therefore CRUCIAL to meet the October 22 deadline.
How do I submit the exam fees?
Submit payment via the link below. Payment for exams may be done via credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3.1% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online payment form and in your e-mail confirmation which will be sent to the email address you provide on the payment form. Postmark deadline to ensure timely mail in deposit processing is October 18, 2021.
Can I cancel my exam?
Students who order and pay for an exam but decide to cancel must submit a written request to email@example.com – include the student’s name, school name, and the name of the exam the student wishes to cancel. Cancellation requests submitted before the October 22 exam order deadline will be eligible for a full refund of the base exam fee. Cancellation requests submitted after October 22 and before March 1, 2022 (11:59pm EST) will be eligible for a partial refund of exam fees. A $40 College Board cancellation penalty fee will be retained out of the exam fee. Credit/debit card fees are non-refundable. Refund requests submitted after March 1, 2022 and no shows on exam day are not eligible for a refund.
Can I change when I take the exam?
Exam times are set by The College Board. Note that AP® Exams must be taken only at the times established by The College Board. Exams administered at Pascack Valley HS will be at the dates and times set by The College Board: please see the calendar linked below.
Is there financial aid available for the 2022 AP® exams?
Fee reductions sponsored by the College Board are available to families who qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch program. You will indicate your status on the payment form to receive the reduction. Eligibility will be verified.
