Postmark deadline for mail in payments is October 8, 2020.
The exam will be open ONLY to current grade 11 students attending Natick HS.
2. Why take the PSAT/NMSQT®
11th grade students take the PSAT® for a variety of reasons: 1) it gives the most up-to-date picture of where you are likely to score on the actual SAT®. This will assist you in determining where you wish to spend your time and effort in preparing for the SAT® exam. 2) Another chance at a practice exam is always a good idea. This will help you to get a feel for the actual exam, which helps to reduce testing anxiety. 3) The PSAT/NMSQT® exam is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship.
3. When are scores released?
PSAT® results are usually sent to schools in late December and then are released to students soon after. Students will be able to log into their College Board profiles at https://studentscores.collegeboard.org to retrieve the scores (College Board Profiles are the same accounts used to order SAT® exams, or to log into the MyAP AP® Exam system. If students do not have one, they will need to create a profile to access scores.)
4. Can I cancel my exam and receive a refund?
A partial refund of $14 is possible if cancellation request is submitted by 9:00am October 13, 2020. A $1 processing fee is retained. Credit card fees are non-refundable. To cancel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, name of the school, and the exam title to cancel (PSAT.) No refunds will be issued for cancellations submitted after October 13.
5. Is there financial assistance available?
Students who are eligible for a fee reduction based on the College Board guideline will be able to reduce the cost of the exam. To apply for a reduction, please see Ms. Cairney BEFORE completing the online order form. Approved students will receive a Fee Reduction Code to apply to the online order form and it will automatically reduce the amount due. All code usage is verified.
SPECIAL NOTE: In the event of school closure or changes in local health guidelines, this exam may be cancelled or rescheduled. In the event of cancellation, a refund of $14 will be issued automatically.
