Postmark deadline for mail in payments is September 9, 2021.
2. Why take the PSAT/NMSQT®
10th grade students take the PSAT® for a variety of reasons: 1) it gives the most up-to-date picture of where you are likely to score on the actual SAT®. This will assist you in determining where you wish to spend your time and effort in preparing for the SAT® exam. 2) Another chance at a practice exam is always a good idea. This will help you to get a feel for the actual exam, which helps to reduce testing anxiety. When taking the exam as a junior, the exam becomes the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
3. When are scores released?
PSAT® results are released online. Students will receive an alert from The College Board when scores are available and will be able to log into their College Board profiles at https://studentscores.collegeboard.org to retrieve the scores (College Board Profiles are the same accounts used to order SAT® exams, or to log into the MyAP AP® Exam system. If students do not have one, they will need to create a profile to access scores.)
4. Can I cancel my exam and receive a refund?
A partial refund of $17 is possible if cancellation request is submitted or or before October 4, 2021. Credit card fees are non-refundable. To cancel, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your name, name of the school, and the exam title to cancel (PSAT.) No refunds will be issued for cancellations submitted after October 4, 2021.
5. Is there financial assistance available?
Students who are eligible for a fee reduction based on the College Board guideline will be able to reduce the cost of the exam. To apply for a reduction, please contact Ms. Cairney at email@example.com BEFORE completing the online order form. Approved students will receive a Fee Reduction Code to apply to the online order form and it will automatically reduce the amount due. All code usage is verified.
