How do I place an AP® exam order?
Step 1: Join your class on MyAP and Activate Exam – Students who have not yet done so in their AP Class with their teacher, should log into http://myap.collegeboard.org with their College Board Profile and join the AP Class online with their teacher issued Join Code.
College Board Profiles are the accounts used to order SAT exams, prior year AP exams, or to collect SAT, PSAT/NMSQT or AP exam scores. Students should have only ONE profile/account and always make sure it has up to date/current contact information active on it.
Join Codes are access codes to link the student to their specific AP Class and class period. Join Codes are issued by your AP Course teachers.
To Join an AP Class on MyAP, log into MyAP at http://myap.collegeboard.org and click on “Join Class/Exam.” Enter the Join Code.
Once joined to the class and able to access the free online resources. Deadline to activate the exam is October 27, 2023. (For courses that COMMENCE in the Spring, the deadline is March 1, 2024.)
Exams will only be ordered for those who then continue to complete step 2, submitting fees.

What if I miss the October deadline to submit fees?
It is CRUCIAL to meet the October 27 deadline. Late registration for exams corresponding to courses that commenced in the Fall will be available as an option from November 16 through March 1, 2024. Late registration will incur a $40 per exam College Board Late Order Penalty.
How do I submit the exam fees?
Payment for exams may be done via credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3.1% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online payment form (linked below) and in your e-mail confirmation which will be sent to the email address you provide on the registration form. Postmark deadline to ensure timely mail in deposit processing is 5 business days before the deadline.
Can I cancel my exam?
La Cueva High School does not offer any exam cancellations or refunds.
Can I change when I take the exam?
Exam times are set by The College Board. Note that AP® Exams must be taken only at the times established by The College Board. Exams administered at La Cueva will be at the dates and times set by The College Board. Please view the link below.
What if I am enrolled in a class that doesn’t start until AFTER October 27?
Students enrolled in the AP Macroeconomics and AP US Government classes that COMMENCE in the Spring/Second semester will not be able to complete the exam activation on the College Board MyAP until the courses commences. These students and ONLY these students will be able to join and submit exam fees without penalty between January 10 and March 1, 2024.
Is there financial aid available for the 2024 AP® exams?
Fee reductions are available to qualifying students which reduces the cost of exams significantly. To apply for a fee reduction, email Ms. Bedeaux at bedeaux@aps.edu for assistance and to obtain a Fee Reduction Discount Code. Once you have the discount code, you can complete your online payment form on this website. The Fee Reduction Code will lower your fee amount on the payment form.
What if I get sick and can’t make the exam?
There are provisions for students who become sick or injured during or right before testing. In case of such an emergency, please contact your AP® Coordinator at your school IMMEDIATELY. A doctor’s note will be required. IMMEDIATE contact – if ill on the day of the scheduled exam – is crucial due to the deadlines involved in ordering make up materials.
Where do I report for my exams?
If exams are administered in person, exam location information will be shared with examinees by your school closer to the exam dates in May.
For in person exams, check in for morning exams will BEGIN promptly at 7:25 AM. Afternoon exam check in will begin promptly at 11:30 AM. Exam administration will begin as soon as check in is completed, so students must arrive promptly at the time check in opens. Students who arrive after the actual exam administration begins will not be admitted. No exceptions. Exams will take approximately four hours. Please notify your parents and coaches of AP® exam dates and times and plan accordingly. Students are not allowed to leave any AP® exam early.

What may I bring to the room?
Please bring the following to your AP® exam: a photo ID, at least 2 sharpened # 2 pencils, erasers, at least 2 pens with black or dark blue ink, and calculators (if applicable-see AP® Security Rules for approved types) with fresh batteries. Cell phones, smartwatches, iPods, MP3 players, etc. are NOT permitted in the testing room.
