Deadline to Activate the Exam on MyAP: September 16, 2025
Exam Fee Submission Deadline: October 15, 2025
Exam Fee: $102 per exam
How do I order an exam?
Step 1: Activate your Exam on MyAP – Students will activate their AP® Exams on the College Board MyAP system by joining the AP Classroom at http://myap.collegeboard.org – Deadline to Join on MyAP is September 16, 2025. An active College Board profile log in will be needed.
Your College Board profile is the same account used to order SAT® exams, or to collect PSAT/NMSQT® and AP® scores from previous years. If you do not have a profile, you will be able to create an account on http://myap.collegeboard.org
Both returning and new users will be prompted to go through MyAP Registration pages on the MyAP website, see below for tips of what information to provide.
Each AP® Course teacher will provide you with a Join Code (or access code) to apply to your account. These Join Codes link each specific subject to your account. (If you are absent you will need to obtain the code and complete the step by September 16, 2025.)
⇒ Failure to complete step 1 above by September 16, 2025 will mean that your AP® Coordinator cannot submit your exam order to College Board without your account incurring a penalty fee. In addition it will mean removal from the AP Course at LACHSA and enrollment in a subject equivalent course.
Step 2: Submit exam fees – Students will receive from APTS starting on or around September 22, 2025 their customized exam fee invoices. Exam fees are due paid in full by October 15, 2025.
Invoices are emailed to the student email address on file with College Board.
Exam fees can be submitted online using a credit or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. Payment instructions are available on the digital invoice. Download the PDF copy of the invoice OR click on “View and Pay Online Now” on the invoice main screen. Postmark deadline for mail in payments is October 11, 2025.
⇒ Without payment of the exam fees due, the student will not be allowed to sit for the May exam administration. (Reminder that to earn the AP Designation and weighted GPA, it is required at LACHSA pay for and sit for the exam corresponding to your AP® class.)
I missed the payment deadline of October 15, can I still submit fees?
Late payments may be submitted but will incur a $40 late payment penalty fee. No payments will be accepted after December 19, 2025.
I can’t access my College Board profile or I can’t remember if I have one. What do I do?
Don’t create a second account!
Each student should have only ONE College Board account during their high school careers which houses AP®, PSAT® and SAT® scores and information. For log in help visit: https://pages.collegeboard.org/account-help or https://myap.collegeboard.org Students may also call College Board AP® Services for Students: 888-225-5427.
What information should I complete on my College Board profile?
The MyAP System will prompt you to complete the Registration screens if you are creating a new account. (If you have an account already, make sure to check through the MyAP Profile pages.)
Make sure that you enter your FULL legal name (should match your school records), your school student ID number, and also the name of your school. The email address on your profile should be your school email address (and if your school does not issue email addresses, it should be another STUDENT email address that is checked frequently and will be accessible after high school.) The email will be a crucial account identifier as well as where you will receive alerts from College Board and APTS.
On your College Board MyAP Profile you will also be prompted to complete the “Send Score” feature – on this screen you will submit the name of the college/university where you would like your free exam score report sent in July. Deadline to indicate the name of the school and qualify for a free report, is June 15.)
Where do I get the Join Codes to be able to activate the exam?
Join Codes are subject, teacher and class period specific. Teachers will distribute the codes during class. If you are absent, please see your AP® Class teacher to obtain the Join Codes.
All students must complete the Join Code activation step by September 16, 2025.
Is there financial aid available for the 2025 AP® exams?
Students who have applied for and been approved for Free-Reduced Lunch will be eligible for a reduced price of $62 per exam. This reduced price will automatically be reflected on your digital invoice, if you have been approved for the Free-Reduced Lunch program. If you believe you have received an invoice for the full price in error, please contact AP Coordinator, Mr Greg Baumann.
I did not receive my AP® Exam Fee Invoice via email. What do I do?
Your AP® Exam Fee Invoice was emailed to the STUDENT email address that is linked to your College Board profile. It may have landed in your Spam folder – please check there. If you cannot find the invoice, please contact info@aptsusa.com to have your invoice re-issued. Your school email address should be the student email address on your College Board profile.
