What are the deadlines to place an exam order?
Exam payment and activation deadlines are based on the course’s commencement date (i.e. start date.) So if your course COMMENCES in Trimester 1, the Trimester 1 deadline date of October 28 applies. If your course COMMENCES in Trimester 2, the Trimester 2 deadline date of December 9 applies. Students may submit payments in advance of commencement but it is not recommended. Students will not be able to activate the exam on MyAP until the course commences.

How do I place an AP® exam order?
Step 1: Create OR Login to College Board Account
If you have already created a College Board account for PSAT®, SAT®, or AP® do not create a 2nd account. Multiple accounts could prevent SAT® or AP® scores from correctly being reported to colleges.
Students can create an account or verify that they have an account at www.collegeboard.org. Here are some helpful hints:

- Make sure it is the student’s name on the account. This sounds obvious, but quite a few parents have created accounts in the past to view PSAT® scores. Students do not want someone else’s name on AP® or SAT® scores when applying to college.
- Students must have their own e-mail address associated with their account. This cannot be a school email address because it does not accept e-mails from outside the corporation. If students forget their log in, College Board will send an e-mail to reset it. This shouldn’t be the parent’s e-mail address either. If an account has already been created, please check this and change if necessary.
- If students have problems with their account, please contact College Board. They will not allow schools or counselors to talk on student’s behalf. Call 888-225-5427 or email apstudents@info.collgeboard.org

Step 3: Submit Exam Fees – Click on the link below to submit exam fees for the exam you would like to take in the May 2023 AP® Exam administration.
The cost of each AP® Exam is $100 each.*
*It is anticipated that the State of Indiana will subsidize the exam fees for English, Math and Science exams for May 2023. The exam fee for those subject exams will be only $10 per exam, however a deposit of $40 will be required to be submitted to complete the order (this fee is to cover the $40 cancellation fee levied by College Board in the event of a cancellation or withdrawal.) Students who are confirmed having tested in May will receive a partial refund in June/July.
Payments for exams may be submitted at the link above by credit card or debit card, OR by mailing in a check or money order. There will be an online payment fee of 3.1% for payments submitted by credit or debit card. There is no additional fee for mailing in payment to the APTS processing center. Directions for payment can be found at the end of the online payment form. The Term 1 Postmark deadline to ensure timely mail in payment processing is October 24, 2022.
Why do I need to activate an exam on The College Board MyAP System?
The College Board MyAP system provides students a variety of excellent, College Board vetted FREE resources to apply to their AP Course and AP® exam preparation. In addition, students will now JOIN the AP ®Group and complete the Registration Profile section on the MyAP website to enable custom printing of AP® exam barcode labels for each student for exam day.
Completion of the student registration information online also is anticipated to cut down on errors such use of nicknames instead of full legal names, or name reversals, or scanning errors. More accurate information and data will mean faster exam score reporting to colleges and universities.
Tips for setting up your College Board Profile on MyAP:
– Use an email address that you will have access to throughout high school AND university (Do not use a parent email address and do not use your school email address since you are not able to receive emails from outside MCCSC at that address!)
– Make sure to enter your COMPLETE legal name to prevent issues with sending score reports to colleges and universities. No nicknames! Make sure that it is YOUR name (i.e. the student name) and not by accident your parent’s name. (Autofill can be dangerous!)
– Submit ‘Send Scores’ by June 15 – you are eligible for one free College Board AP® Exam score report to be sent to the college/university of your choice. To request the report, log into MyAP and navigate to ‘My AP Profile’ and then ‘Send Scores.’ Submit your request before June 15 to receive the free report.
I can’t access my College Board Profile account or am not sure I have one. What do I do?
The College Board Profile is the same account used to access your past years’ AP® scores, PSAT® scores, and SAT® scores. Do not create a new one! Each student should have only ONE unique account. If you are unable to access the account, try using the ‘Forget Password?’ link on http://myap.collegeboard.org OR email apstudents@info.collegeboard.org OR call 888-225-5427 for assistance.
Where do I get the Join Code to complete the join step on the MyAP site?
Join Codes are subject, teacher, and period specific. Codes will be distributed in class once the course commences (usually after the add/drop period has passed.) If you are absent when codes are distributed, please see your AP® teacher ASAP to complete the step by the applicable deadline. Late exam activation will incur automatically a penalty fee. No activations are possible after March 10, 2023.

What if I miss the Term’s deadline to submit fees?
It is CRUCIAL to meet the deadlines to avoid penalty fees. Late payment submission and registration for those who missed the initial payment window deadline is possible for the Term 1 and Term 2 registrations, but with a late payment penalty fee of $25 per exam. Due to the timeline in Term 3, there will be no late payments accepted. There will be no waiting lists or stand-by testing.
How do I submit the exam fees?

Can I cancel my exam?
Students who order and pay for an exam but decide to cancel can submit a cancellation request through the APTS Cancellation Desk at cancel@aptsusa.com – Submission deadline is March 10, 2023. Include in the cancellation request the student name, name of the school, and the title of the exam to cancel.
NOTE: Cancellations received by 11:59pm CST on March 10, 2023 will be eligible for a partial refund of any exam fees submitted MINUS the College Board $40 cancellation penalty fee). Credit Card processing fees are non-refundable.
Can I change when I take the exam?
College Board is extremely strict regarding qualifying for rescheduling an AP® exam to the Late Testing (make-up) window. In addition, the reason for requesting late testing must also meet the local school corporation regulations for excused absences. In conjunction with College Board regulations, MCCSC approved reasons to reschedule an exam include: extreme illness (hospitalization or medical care, a doctor’s note will be required), bereavement, court appearance, conflict with another AP® exam, or a school sponsored sport or academic event. Additional fees may apply and documentation may be required.
MCCSC Students are NOT eligible for Late Testing for reasons such as: family trips, conflict with an in-class exam/activity, failure to attend the exam, or having selected the incorrect AP® exam subject when you submitted your order. Contact info@aptsusa.com for more information – deadlines for ordering the alternate exam materials apply and vary per subject and are usually within 24-hours of the originally scheduled exam date.
Is there financial aid available for the 2023 AP® exams?
Fee reductions are possible for qualified students. If you feel you may qualify for a fee reduction, please see your school counselor to review your eligibility before submitting an online payment form. Once eligibility has been confirmed, you will be provided with a Fee Reduction Code that will reduce the cost of the exam(s) to the appropriate amount on the online payment form. Code usage will be verified by APTS.
Exams for Fee Reduction students are subsidized by the State of Indiana. The exam fee will be only $10 per exam, however an upfront deposit of $40 per exam is required to place the order (this is to cover the cancellation fees levied by College Board in the event of a cancellation.) Once it is confirmed that the student has tested, the subsidy will be activated and a partial refund of $30 per exam will issued in June/July.
What if I get sick and can’t make the exam?
There are provisions for students who become sick or injured during or right before testing. In case of such an emergency, please contact your AP® Coordinator at your school IMMEDIATELY. A doctor’s note will be required. IMMEDIATE contact – if ill on the day of the scheduled exam – is crucial due to the deadlines involved in ordering make up materials.
Where do I report for my exams?
Exam location information will be shared with examinees by your school closer to the exam dates in May.
Check in for morning exams will BEGIN promptly at 7:30 AM. Afternoon exam check in will begin promptly at 11:45 AM. Exam administration will begin as soon as check in is completed, so students must arrive promptly at the time check in opens. Students who arrive after the actual exam administration begins will not be admitted. No exceptions. Exams will take approximately four hours. Please notify your parents and coaches of AP® exam dates and times and plan accordingly. Students are not allowed to leave any AP® exam early.

What may I bring to the room?
Please bring the following to your AP® exam: a CURRENT photo ID, at least 2 sharpened # 2 pencils, erasers, at least 2 pens with black or dark blue ink, and calculators (if applicable-see AP® Security Rules for approved types) with fresh batteries. Cell phones, smartwatches, iPods, MP3 players, etc. are NOT permitted in the testing room.
Students must adhere to the Test Site Regulations for the duration of the exam. Consequences for violation of the regulations may include removal from the exam and cancellation of scores or being banned from future College Board examinations. See Test Site Regulations for more information.
What if I need accommodations on my exams due to a 504 Plan or an IEP?
Students must be approved by the College Board to receive accommodations on any AP® exams. Application deadline for a new accommodations request is January 18, 2023. Please see your case manager, counselor or AP® Coordinator to ask about the steps and requirements.
What if I have two AP® exams scheduled for the same date and time?
Students who anticipate a conflict with another AP® exam offered at the same date and time should continue their registration. At the registration point it is subject specific information, not date specific. APTS will provide a report to your school to indicate conflicts and you will be contacted via email regarding your alternate AP® exam date assignment when processed.
How do I figure out if I can earn college/university credit for taking the exam?
College and universities with AP® Credit Policies can be found on the College Board’s website at https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/creditandplacement – It is the student’s responsibility to verify that the college they plan to attend will accept AP® credit and submit scores to their university/college of choice.
Each student is eligible for one free Score Report from College Board – to request the score report to be sent to the college/university of your choice at no charge at the end of your matriculating year, please log into your MyAP account and navigate to ‘My AP Profile’ and then ‘Score Send.’ Enter the name of the College/University that you will be attending. Submit before June 15th to be eligible for the free report.
How do I receive my scores?
By completing the exam activation process on the MyAP site, you will be issued a unique AP ID number. Scores are usually available in early July by using the AP ID and your College Board log in to retrieve scores at http://apscores.org
